00:00:00: Welcome back to a new episode of sweet but salty, the bliss point of podcasts.

00:00:06: Today I had to jump on the train of like Christopher Nolan obsession where obviously The Odyssey has hid theaters a couple of days or weeks ago.

00:00:20: I don't even know when exactly, but i know that i'm about to watch the odyssey tomorrow in a huge cinema with a huge screen which i'm very excited about and i had to title this episode like The Movie at least almost because i want to talk about something that goes to show, I think our lives are sort of orchestrated and there is a bigger creator at work when it comes to our life.

00:00:52: so...I just wanna give you back story from my connection with the odyssey!

00:00:59: It totally reminds me of time in the US where we lived together for my sophomore year in high school and one of the books that we read an English class was actually The Odyssey by Homer.

00:01:13: Is it Homer?

00:01:14: Or Homer, Homer... In German we say homeaer.

00:01:19: I don't know how you say it in english but you know who i'm talking about.

00:01:24: so i just want to say that, I was thousands of miles away from home really missing my family and it was a completely new environment.

00:01:35: It was like this crazy experience!

00:01:39: And I was quite young.

00:01:40: And then an English class out of all places, we read the Odyssey in old english so it was really hard to understand.

00:01:50: So I was there on English class and i was like what is this supposed to say?

00:01:54: with a lot vocab I had to learn, English-to-English translation because it were a lot of old words that you have translate into modern english.

00:02:08: It was so interesting but also really hard!

00:02:11: So this is my first real connection with the story.

00:02:16: and then years later fast forward literally nine years I was student assistant at the Max Planck Institute of Empirical Aesthetics and we researched a lot of things.

00:02:32: but among them, there's one study that a PhD student conducted that i helped her with.

00:02:39: And this study dealt with the odyssey.

00:02:43: so it was like a full circle moment that i'm now realizing.

00:02:49: she conducted her research around this story and had people read a part of the story.

00:02:54: And I just want to take this, tell you that i believe it was full circle moment.

00:03:00: but our lives are full circle moments in which all comes together at end.

00:03:06: You can't connect dots looking forward or backwards and i think that's exactly what's happening in life, we connect the dots.

00:03:16: And... We get to live through certain aspects & situations That just give us a certain feel!

00:03:26: And often times there are patterns in our lives that repeat themselves.

00:03:32: I just think it is so fascinating & interesting who we are that we're fluid beings and we go through life with certain gifts.

00:03:45: and talents.

00:03:46: And also certain preferences, like for example one of my preferences is definitely Greek mythology because I think it's so interesting and i've always been fascinated by it!

00:03:56: Then I go to the US and read you know one of the greatest books of greek mythology... That just so interesting to me.

00:04:04: that is definitely a sort of pattern that followed me.. It keeps following up until today when and this story that has kind of been part of certain aspects of my life come to life in the movies.

00:04:22: And on a cinema screen, so yeah it's just... To me its very fascinating and I think as i said life is one big full circle moment That just uh- Is there to teach us?

00:04:35: Things aren't always easy but they're definitely always special!

00:04:41: We should believe in ourselves and we should believe in a higher creator who made us, and who created A life for us that is full of magic And full of special moments.

00:04:53: Full of wonders That we sometimes don't see but looking back We sometimes realize them.

00:05:00: to end this episode I have very special announcement.

00:05:03: i've finished big drawing since the beginning of june.

00:05:08: it's been two and a half months, and close to one hundred hours of work that went into this drawing which is insane.

00:05:16: It was a lot of fun- I wanted to say blood sweat in tears.

00:05:21: but that's not true!

00:05:22: i didn't even shed one tear.

00:05:24: uh no blood... No sweat because i don't sweat which isn't really healthy.. But its just my thing i guess.

00:05:33: So that is done, and I am so grateful for it.

00:05:37: i'm prepping my very first art exhibition And um...I'll show this piece there.

00:05:45: We're two weeks out from the exhibition.

00:05:49: Now you know everything!

00:05:50: I will report back in my next episode how I thought about the movie which I'll be watching tomorrow.
